Will my skin go back to its original color?

by Danay
(Maryland)

Hello Maria, I am currently in the research phase of skin lightening. I dont want to go thru with it and come to regret it later for whatever reason. My question is when using creams, will my skin fade back to its original tone causing me to keep using it? Also the same question for the pills. In essence, is this process something I will have to do once, or will I have to keep doing it forever?

Answer:

Hi Danay, you know, skin whitening is no different from any other skin care routine (or even hair care).

If you stop using skin moisturizers, won't your skin get dry? If you stop conditioning your hair, wouldn't it be less manageable?

Skin lightening is no exception. Maintenance is suggested to keep the results, but the frequency of application is considerably reduced. :)

Maria
