Whitening with acne-prone skin

by Carol
(Tulsa)

Hi I have a question concerning the whitening products. I currently use a skin care line Murad for my moderate acne and have red marks that stay after and have used the hydroquione but find that it takes awhile to lighten and then doesn't always stay. So my question is will these products make me break out because I would love to use something that will help lighten my skin but not at the cost of more acne. Please Help Thanks.

Answer:

Hi Carol, skin lightening involves exfoliaion and/or skin peeling. In the process, it removes dead skin cells, excess dirt and oils and thus control acne at some level.

However, skin whitening is not formulated for acne, but has a good side effect for those skin types who respond well to the skin whiteners.
