Whitening soaps and creams won't work on face

Hi, A few months back I purchased the papaya and licorice soap from you, with the tablets and cream. They have always worked on other areas of my body apart from my face. Always making me many shades darker so I have stopped using it on my face. I always wash my face throughly before using the products and I wear sun block of factor 60. Regardless of the weather. Is there "anything" that i could be missing out on or are they both just not suitable for my face and if not then, why does it work on other areas?
Answer:
Hi Francis, our face is thinner-skinned than the rest of our body. Most of the time it peels ahead and sheds off the unwanted dark skin layers off to resurface a lighter tone. But if you let it peel too much it will dry it out and may cause skin darkening because peeling skin is sun sensitive.
To add to that, you also mentioned that you wash thoroughly before using the products. Too much or prolonged washing can also dry out facial skin.
Here's what you can do. If you have rested your face from the skin lighteners for a week or two already, go back to using the papaya soap on face. Let it stay for just a minute or to before washing off. Once in the morning, then as facial wash at night (no leave-on time). This should induce peeling anew. Daytime, continue with your sunscreen, at bedtime apply a facial moisturizer (no whitening cream this time).
After skin has peeled, use the black soap thereafter as your daily facial wash, also leaving it for a minute or two before washing off. Moisturization is also key to preventing dryness and darkness of skin.
