White spot on legs and arms

by Carmela
(Philippines)

Hello, I have a sensitive skin and easily darken when expose to sun. 3 years ago after skin bleaching and peeling, white spots starts to appear at my legs and arms. Some fade by itself. My dermatologists said that it is due to skin aging. My arms, face and neck is much darker than my body and legs. I used whitening kit from a skin care center and my skin got burned. I love to have a white skin, even if my husband tells me that in abroad they preferred dark skin. I don't care. I want to be lighter because my husband has a lighter skin tone than mine. And it shames me. Can you please help me to even out my skin tone and of course lighter too. Thank you very much and God bless.

Answer:

Hi Carmela, personal choices are important for each one of us in making decisions for skin care, and as long as it is safe, it's fine. If you prefer lighter skin, it dates back to your cultural preference being of Asian descent.

Skin whitening products are always readily available in the Philippines, including Diana Stalder products. All it takes is finding the right skin whitener for your skin type to achieve your goal. Feel free to keep trying as it is a trial and error saga.

As we age, sun damage does accumulate. When you find the right products for you, don't forget to include sunscreen as this will prevent further skin discoloration and uneven skin tone.

Hope that helps.

Maria
