what is the best lightening product for dark patches around the mouth?

I have dark patches around my mouth and on the side of my face near my ear I don't know exactly what has caused it maybe sun exposure but I am very concious of it and have to apply lots of concealer around my mouth to hide it because it knocks my confidence. What's the best skin whitening cream\product to use to lighten these areas? Thank you Chanice x
