Under-age

Hi Maria, first of all thanks for the informative site. It's very helpful. My question is, is it safe to use the skin whitening products on your site if you are under age? I'm a 15 year old olive skinned girl due to my mother's European background, but I'm dying for fair skin. When I was a child my skin was fair.
Thank you (:

Answer:

Hello, here's what you can do for the next 6 months - minimize sun exposure, and wear at least SPF 30 sunscreen whenever you go outdoors daily. SInce you said that you had lighter skin when you were younger, following the regimen above will help you get back closer to your previous lighter skin tone.

Some people will think that wearing sunscreen will block the sun's rays. No. Sunscreen can only control, not totally block sunlight, because we still need Vitamin D along the way.

After 6 months and this didn't work, you can get back to me, on this same page (bookmark it), post on the 'Comments' link below, so I can suggest a better solution for you. :)

Take care,
Maria
