Treat hyperpigmentation on fair skin

by Rod
(France)

Hello Maria, I am a man with naturally white skin but a few years ago I had to stay in the sun for very long and unfortunately I didn't protect myself properly.

The result is that now my neck and face have darkened compared to the rest of my body, also my hands and arms darkened as well.

I thought it would be gone with the time, but it's been 3 years and it's still there!
I don't like it and this dark pigmentation is uneven and make me look terribly ugly on photos at the night!

Note, I have a quite sensitive skin, it's a mixed skin. I'm glad to have found your website and I'm waiting impatiently your answer. I would like to start with my face first and the neck!
Thank you very much!
Regards.

Answer:

Hi Rod, thank you for visiting our site. Let me help you with your question.

I presume you will be more aware to use sunscreen from now on, which is also one very important factor for your success in skin lightening.

Here's what you can try on dark face and neck for now - Diana Stalder Black Soap and Lightening Cream. The black soap is milder so it can take a few weeks before you can see an improvement but is better for sensitive skin. Use/apply on inner elbows overnight first to test for skin sensitivity. If it showed no negative reaction a day after, it will be safe to use on face and neck.

Black soap on less sensitive skin
by: Rod

Hello Maria,
You suggested me to treat my hypigmentation to buy Diana Stalder black soap (because of my sensitive face) and skin whitening cream.

I just received my order today, I lathered the soap and then I put it on my face and also on my arms.

I noticed that my face fastly stinged when I washed it off but as for my arm I didn't feel the same.

I would like to know if it's useless to use the black soap if my arms doesn't react for now?

Another question, if I put a moisturizer the day will it impeach the skin to peel or not?

Thank you very much.
Regards.

Answer:

Hi Rod, if your face felt the sting on the FIRST day, it only means that your face is not just sensitive, but very sensitive. I guess even the mild black soap is too strong for your facial skin. You might want to try our mildest soap, Diana Stalder Licorice Soap which has anti-inflammatory properties (it's the pink one).

For the arms, it is normal NOT to feel the normal side effects - redness, dryness, stinging, itching, peeling - on the first day.

Skin lightening involves mild skin peeling which is necessary to exfoliate off the dark skin layer or spot in a few weeks. The whole process can take 2-4 weeks.

Hope that helps.

MAria
