To get my natural skin color Back.

I would like to get my natural skin color Back. I am now between skin chart number 6 and 4- some where in the middle of those skin tone. I would like to go back to being Tan, or Brown brown on the chart. issue is, I really want to make sure this is safe, and that I won't get any skin cancer or any harm in any way.
