people make fun of me alot just because i have dark skin i play it off like what they say doesn't matter sometimes it works but most of the time what they say really hurts like when they call me names like crispy, burt, or blackey this is why i think that l i have a low self estem i just what to find an effective, healthy and safe skin lightener so i can feel a little good about my self.

am not dark skin, but i love people of dark complexsion because i think they are beautiful.plus the age alot slower.. few wrinkles in their 50's. what am trying to say is you should never let anyone make you feel guilty because of your color and let u feel inferior or unhuman( if thats a word.. less of a human then ). we are all made for a purpose. if lighting your color a little makes u feel more accepting to other go ahead.

still,u should always do things that make u feel better not what others say. i truly understand where u coming from tho. i was tease for having high cheek bones now i love them. hopefully one day u will accept u for who u r. love CHOICE:)

You know I was the same when I was growing up. I was even called a niger and was told by my male classmate that I could have been considered beautiful if I was not dark. Mind you, I am not even black as i am tan coloured.

I did not pay attention to them and acutally chased them to make them pay for their wagging tongues.

Anyway, let it not bother you as dark skinned people are considered exotic in Europe and other Caucasian countries. However, if it really bothers u and affecting your self esteem, you can use whitening soaps or lotion.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and it is what is inside and not the outside that matters.
