Thinking of ordering your product....

by stacy
(CA, USA)

Hi...I have been suffering from Melasma for about 8 years now and nothing seems to work. My melasma is on the two sides of my cheek bones and no where else. I look like I am getting ready to play football everyday with the melasma.

A couple of months ago I visited my dermatologist and he recommended hydroquinone with 4% once a day in the morning and tri-luma once a day at night for 3 to six months. For the first two weeks of using these products I noticed that my cheeks are red and peeling. I was happy to see this because this tells me that the product is working. That was not the case after 7 weeks into using the products, my skin became really irritated and red. What made it worse was that it made my melasma darker then what I started with. I went back to my doctor and he prescribed finacea gel to get rid of inflamation and redness and to continue with tri-luma. This process again will take at least 4 to 8 weaks to see any results.

My question for you is which product of yours should I order and how promising are your products to help me get rid of my melasma. Would u suggest for me to stop what I am currently doing and purchase yours because I would see better results?

Answer:

No Stacy, I can't tell you to stop using what your doctor prescribed to you because our skin whitening products will be better. That would be wrong.

You see, results will still depend on your skin sensitivity, and it seems what your doctor prescribed to you didn't work well for your type of skin. However, I still wonder why dermatologists prescribe hydroquinone, and 4% at that, which has been proven to contain carninogenic properties because it can make skin much more sun sensitive than most skin lighteners. If you get exposed to the sun due to daily activities and work, this sun exposure contributed to what happened to your skin today, even with sunscreen. The use of an additional lightening cream at night may have been too harsh and caused your skin to burn.

Right now, let your skin heal without any skin lightening product until the skin dries from the redness or soreness. Thereafter, you have 2 options -

1. You can continue with triluma, apply at bedtime. STOP the hydroquinone cream.

2. Or you can try our Treatment For Melasma Kit under "Skin Whitening Kits".

Melasma is hormonal, and can take time to lighten. Always make sure you wear at least SPF 45 sunscreen when outdoors between 9am-5pm.

Take care,
Maria

Received your products
by: Stacy

Hi Maria,

I received the Melasma Kit yesterday and started the treatment. I read the instructions but was a little confused by it. I want to make sure I am properly using the products so that it is effective. I have a few questions for you...

Should I use the whitening cream just at night or do I use it twice a day. (morning and night)

Why does your toner come in such a small container? Is that going to be enough for me to use along with the whitening cream?

Is the soap I am using the right one for me. I read that there is another soap call Glutathione Soap that is for skin whitening. What is the difference and because I am trying to get rid of my melasma, will that soap be better for me then the black soap that came with the melasma kit that I purchased?

What is the difference between skin whitening cream and skin lightening cream?

In addition to the directions on how to use the melasma kit. It tells me two things. One was to clean my face with the black soap and then apply the toner and wait 5-10 mins. then apply the whitening cream. So I did that last night.

I continue to read on and it says that in order to achieve better results i should apply the whitening cream after my shower or damp or mist my face before applying the whitening cream to get better results. So which should I do? Am if I am going to do this, when would I use the toner or do I even need to use the toner? Help...Help.

Answer:

Hi Stacy, let's get to your questions -

- skin whitening soap, lotion, toner or cream is suggested to be used once a day only because these are potent products.

- The skin lightening toner is 60ml, all you need is just to wet a thin cotton piece and apply on face. For the lotion or cream, apply on damp skin for a thinner application. You do not need a thick application (when it is applied on dry skin).

- The black soap is better for the face if it has pigmentations. It is also milder but if after 4 weeks and you feel you needed a stronger soap and your skin can handle it (not sensitive), feel free to do so.

- Whitening Lotion/Cream ? for whitening with anti-aging ingredient; best for overall whitening/lightening of skin.
Lightening Lotion/Cream ? for whitening with stronger potency than the Whitening Lotion/Cream to target small dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

- Yes it is best to apply the cream on damp skin to make the product last longer by applying less than it is applied on dry skin. But if the skin toner is included in the regimen, what you can do is spray a mist of purified water on face, 5-10 mins after the toner, before applying the cream to damp it.

Hope that helps. :)

Back for more suggestions

Hi Maria,

Sorry, I have been so busy. I mentioned that I was going to get a picture to you, but I have not gotten the chance. I have been using my products for melasma prescribed from my derma for a month now and I do not see much results. I think I would like to try your product to treat my melasma. Tell me again which one I should order. Do you have former customers with melasma using the product and was it effective. I am very anxious and I am tired of trying so many products with not having any success. I am willing to try what you have to offer me. Looking forward to using your product.

Answer:

Hello again, check out our Treatment For Melasma Kit (under "Skin Whitening Kits") for your purpose.

Rest your skin from the last skin lightening product brand that you used before switching to another brand. This will allow your skin to respond anew to a different skin whitener.

Yes we have satisified customers who have used the melasma kit but not everyone post their testimonials. What I can say is it can work for you too. My hopes are as high as yours that this will work well for your type of skin. I know exactly how it is to waste time and money.

I'll be here if you need me. :)

When should I try your skin lightening product?
by: Stacy

Hi Maria....thanks for the advice. As I mentioned earlier, I am using the finacea gel once a day in the morning and tri-luma in the evening. I just started this treatment for about 5 days now and I was wondering how I would incorporate your products if I were to get them. Would I be doing more harm to my face? Should I stay a little longer with what I am doing right now, and if so, how long would you recommend? If I were to get your melasma kit, should I stop the finacea and triluma altogether?

About your soap and toner. I have never used soap to clean my face and was wondering if that would give me a better result then what I am using right now which is Revitalift Cream Cleanser by Loreal. Also, is your toner for sensitive skin? I have tried many different brands of toner and they all dry or irritate my skin. I have yet not found one that is suitable for my skin and I hope that yours would be different.

I will send you my picture so you can tell me how bad my melasma is and if there is hope for it to lighten up. I am going to a wedding this weekend so I will get my picture to you when I get back next week. My sister has the same problem as I do so we are both searching for a product that is effective and we have not had success yet. I am hoping that you can be my last resort if the finacea and tri-luma is not working out for me so that I can reccomend it to my sister as well.

By the way, I want my message to be exclusive so am i doing it correctly?

Answer:

Hi Stacy, I transferred this latest post to your "Comments" link just below the page of the first skin whitening post/question you submitted. So bookmark it, so you can simply click the "Comments" link at the bottom for followup questions or comments.

For your first question, it is recommended not to mix any 2 regimen together to avoid any negative interaction, irritation or soreness of skin. You have to wait for 2 weeks before changing/switching to another brand for best results. If you choose to continue with triluma, which can be a good option since you have it already, give it a month to see if you'll see an improvement. Otherwise, it's time for a change.

Skin lightening soaps, lotions, creams or toner can be drying because they all induce skin peeling to remove the dark skin layer. This is where your favorite moisturizers will play its important part to hydrate skin while in this regimen. If your skin is sensitive, try to use the products every other day for the first week then gradually increase as you skin allows it.

Good luck and my hopes are as high as yours that everything works well for you this time. :)

Maria
