Hi Maria! My question may sound stupid but i really need to know about suncream, the question is: does the suncream make some people darker, few years ago as i had to protect my skin follow a skin treatment, i applied the suncream daily, a while after i realised that my face became very dark.....(it looks like that my pigmentation starts there. Thank you maria.

Hi Eugeny, no question is stupid here. I treat each one of them as important to the one who asked it. So, to answer your question, any suncream, sunscreen or sunblock is meant to control, not totally prevent, skin darkening and sun damage.
Especially for exfoliated skin (from skin peels or any exfoliation process like microdermabrasion) which is more sun-sensitive, it is prone to skin darkening when exposed to the sun unprotected. If you used suncream with a low SPF, the level of sun damage can be high.
Your case can be attributed to two things -
1. Either you used SPF below 30...
2. Or you had too much sun exposure between 10am-3pm.
A little 'TLC' is needed for maintaining an even and damage-free skin tone. Even if you have all the best quality products in the world, your skin will thank you if they're used with proper care.
Hope that helps. :-)
Maria
