Hi Aysha, skin whitening or lightening can work for all types of skin, but it will not always work for everybody. Why? Because individual results are different, and each one is unique.
Your skin can get lighter or lightest to the shade that it will only allow, whether you use the topical skin whiteners - soaps, lotion or cream (work externally, with skin peeling, faster results) OR the skin whitening pills (work internally, no peeling, slower results). You can do either, or both.
For the whitening pills, here's a good reference on when to expect results -
* Light-medium brown skin: 1-3 months
* Dark brown skin: 3-6 months
* Very dark skin: 6-12 months
* Black skin: 18 months minimum and above
The above can be earlier, or usually longer depending on your metabolism and functional system.
Skin lightening is also NOT permanent. Just like any other skin care regimen, it will need minimal maintenance to keep the results lasting.
Glutathione injectables can manifest results faster than the whitening pills, because these are injected directly into the bloodstream. The only drawback is the cost, which can be 3-5x more expensive.
Hope the above info helped.
