pregnant n using whitening cream

by anonymous
(orlando, fl, united states)

Hi I'm 8 in a half mnths pregnant n I was using bleaching cream for a mnth ****edited*** but I just found out that it could harm my baby it have not made my skin peel or anything :( what do u think I really need ur advice is it really that risky and what's the worsest if possible harm could it do I'm afraid..

Answer:

Hello there, better discontinue the use of any skin lightening product. The skin lightening process induces skin peeling, exfoliation, penetrates skin and products are acid-based, which are not recommended by doctors. Hyperpigmentation is normal during pregnancy and lactation, and usually fade away after giving birth. If the dark spots stay, that's the only time you can resume your skin lightening regimen.

Don't worry, a month's use of the whitening cream cannot harm your baby. Continuous use may, or may not, depending on your skin's absorption of the active ingredients.

Enjoy your anticipation for your little angel. :)

Skin whitening during pregnancy

by Fatima

Hi Maria, my name is Fatima and I have two questions to ask.

1. I would like to know whether it is safe to use these whitening products (cream, soaps, lotion, pills)during pregnancy or not?

2. What are the costs for Non-US shipping regular and Non-US shipping express?

Answer:

Hi Fatima, I do not recommend the use of any skin lightener - topical or intake - for pregnant women. The topical products involve skin peeling which is a discomfort to pregnant women while skin is actually expanding. Glutathione pills are safe even for pregnant women, but the Alpha Lipoic Acid ingredient is not suggested until after childbirth.

To determine the total cost of products and shipping, you can play around with our shopping cart ("Add to Cart" under 'non-US shipping' or 'Express non-US shipping'; "Continue Shopping" if you'll purchase more than 1 item; then "Checkout" to see total to pay. :-)

Glutathione during pregnancy

by Angel
(Dubai, UAE)

hi maria, after going through ur site i feel a sense of trust to order glutathione from u. i had used a bottle of lucida-ds earlier but with no significant skin lightening. now this brand is discontinued i believe. at the moment i am 2 months pregnant and am considering to use glutathione.... can u pls let me know if it is safe to take glutathione during pregnany and if so what would be the dosage.

Hope to hearing from u soon.

Angel

Answer:

Hi Angel, firstly, congratulations on having a new baby. You must be proud. As for glutathione pills during pregnancy, it should be ok. However, the Alpha Lipoic Acid content (which is necessary to boost the skin whitening effect) in the pills is not recommended for pregnant women. Any acid-based supplement or product can affect the child-bearing period. I suggest that you wait until you give birth before taking the pills.

Lucida-DS is discontinued because of questionable glutathione content. Our Claire Blanche pills are our best seller and has shown to give the most positive results based on customer reviews.

I look forward to serving your skin lightening needs soon. :-)

Safe to use lightening cream in breast feeding?

by Hajera
(UK)

Hi, A friend recommended to buy Nur76 Cream to lighten my skin (chloasma and hyper pigmentation). I have Asian fair skin, and for the last 10 years gradually my cheeks and temple have become darker. I am breastfeeding, is it safe to use this cream and what would you recommend. My condition started after digestive illness.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hajera

Answer:

Hi Hajera, any skin lightening or exfoliating cream's ingredients can penetrate the skin and may affect your breastfeeding functions. Soon after the lactating period, you can go ahead and use a skin lightener to get rid of your hyperpigmentation. :-)

Should use whitening product while being pregnant?.

by Eager
(CA, USA)

Im 8 months pregnant and i ordered the whitening product with kojic and retinol with the soap and stuff should i use it right now or wait?.And also can i use the product while breast feeding?.I will highly appreciate your response.

Answer:

Hi Eager, do NOT use any acid- or retinol-based skin products while pregnant or breastfeeding. While it is possible that you'll achieve the skin whitening effects, these products will penetrate skin and might affect your baby and/or lactating functions.

Hyperpigmentation or darkening of some body parts is normal during pregnancy. Most of these will fade away. After giving birth and breastfeeding, you'll better see which dark spots remain and treat them accordingly.

Congratulations on your forthcoming baby very soon! :-)

What about pregnancy ?

by Aliaa

Hi, I am pregnant in the 3rd month, can I use these pills in this time ?

Answer:

Hi Aliaa, although the main gluathione content is totally safe for pregnant women, it is the Alpha Lipoic Acid ingredient that is also in the skin whitening pills that has not been studied for pregnant and nursing mothers. You can safely resume the pills after giving birth.

breast feeding (plus skin whitening)

by onyechi
(Spain)

is it good to use skin lighteners while breastfeeding?

Answer:

No Onyechi, the active ingredients penetrate the epidermal skin layer, which might interact with the milk being produced for lactation. Although these are safe ingredients, they function best and safest under normal circumstances only. :-)

Using the products during pregnancy

by Melissa
(USA)

Dear Maria, I am 5 months pregnant and have some dark spots that I would like to lighten. These spots were not caused by the pregnancy as they have been around for a long time prior to my pregnancy. Is it safe to use the soap and whitening cream during this time? I am not worried discomfort/skin sensitivity. But I need to know if the ingredients of the soap/cream may be harmful to my baby or myself during this time. Thank you.

Answer:

Hi Melissa, I do not suggest using any skin lightening product during pregnancy or even when you're breastfeeding. Skin lightening involves exfoliation and skin peeling while pregnancy tends to expand skin. It is not a good match. Besides, the products are acid-based that contain lactic and retinoic acid, which are good for skin exfoliation and renewal, but penetrates the epidermal (topmost) layer of our skin, which is not recommended during child-bearing months.

So it is better to wait after giving birth. :-)

darker areas due to pregnancy

by Mary

hello, i'm a filipina and i'm now 5 months pregnant. Everything is beautiful with what is happening to me except that I noticed that my underarms and thighs and butt are getting darker :( what soap would you recommend for me to use? I also wanted to make sure that it is safe for me to use. Please help. Thanks.

-mary

Answer:

Hi Mary, hyperpigmentation is normal during pregnancy. The bad news is, you cannot use any skin lightening soap or cream to get rid of it because these are acid-based, penetrates skin, and induces skin peeling.

But the good news is, these dark spots usually fade away after giving birth. Some may stay though, and that's the right time to consider skin lightening regimen. :)

Skin pigmentation after pregnancy

by Nirmeen
(Dubai)

i have skin pigmentation , doctor said after delivery it will be ok but .. no change it is going worse .. what shld i use is pills safe?

Answer:

Hi Nirmeen, hyperpigmentation during pregnancy is normal. Your doctor is right, some, although not all, fade away in time.

How soon? That is the big question. It depends on your type of skin.

If it's becoming a bother, you have 2 skin whitening solutions -

1. Topical for faster results - papaya kojic acid soap, black licorice soap, Dermaline skin whitening cream or lotion. You can find the products here -

Dermaline Skin Whitening Soap, Lotion, Cream

2. Glutathione pills work as dietary supplements just like your vitamins. It works from the inside out. Glutathione is the best skin antioxidant supplement with skin whitening side effects. While cleaning up your body toxins, skin will have a rosier fairer glow, lightening dark skin spots in the process. Yes, the pills are safe after pregnancy. You can find it here -

Glutathione and Skin Whitening

You can choose 1 or 2, or both.

WHOA! baby on board

by Toi
(USA)

is this safe for a woman who is pregnant and or breastfeeding? in reference to the whitening creams and soaps.

Answer:

Hi Toi, skin lightening has not been totally concluded to be unsafe for pregnant and nursing mothers, nor it has been proven totally safe as well.

Best thing to do is to skip the skin lightening regimen until after the motherhood stage.

Congratulations on your baby! :)

Black skin for pregnancy

by Tahmina
(USA)

hi,my name is tahmina.my skin was medium light.now i am light dark skin after child birth.my age is 29 .my baby is 28 months old. but still i have light dark skin .what will i do and i losses my hair. iam very worried for that .please give me good advice.

Answer:

Hi Tahmina, hormonal changes during pregnancy mostly affect skin and hair. Dark skin pigmentation and hair loss are normal, even after giving birth. The good news is, yes, you can do something about it.

For hair loss, just a little 'tlc' -

1. Avoid tying hair tightly such as pigtails, braids, weaves or rollers. This can stress your hair more.
2. Eat fruits and vegetables high in flavonoids because strengthen hair follicles and growth.
3. Look for biotin and silica in shampoos and conditioners that you use.

For dark skin spots, go to our Diana Stalder Skin Whitening Products page and take a moment to read the "Quick Product Guide" to choose the product/s best suited for your type of skin and age.

Pregnancy hyperpigmentation usually fade away after the child-bearing months, although some dark spots stay. Hope you find the right skin lightening solution here.

Prequation in pregnancy for dull skin

by Rabbana
(India)

hi,i'm having six month pregnancy, my original complexion is fair but during these days my skin become dry and dull also my neck become black so i need solution.

Answer:

Hi Rabbana, hyperpigmentation during pregnancy is normal. Especially for fair-skinned women, it will be more obvious to notice dark spots on the skin folds - neck, underarms, inner thighs, face, etc. But usually, these fade away after giving birth.

I do not recommend using any skin lightening product during this period. The skin lightening process will involve skin peeling due to the acid-based products, which is not good for pregnant women. When skin is expanding, skin peeling is not a good match.

Besides, these might totally go away after you give birth. If some remain, that's the time to decide if you'd like to use skin whiteners to take care of the dark skin spots.

Right now, just enjoy the little bundle of joy inside you, and I'll be here to help you get rid of the hyperpigmentation later. :-)

Skin whitening while breast feeding?

by Julie
(Birmingham)

Is it safe to use ur skin whitening product while breast feeding?
julie

Answer:

Hi Julie, it is not recommended to take skin whitening pills or use skin whitening products while pregnant or nursing / breastfeeding.

The L-Glutathione in whitening pills is totally safe, but the Alpha Lipoic Acid content is not suggested for intake on pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. On the other hand, the whitening products (whitening soaps, lotion or cream) involve skin peeling and exfoliation (similar but not as drastic as glycolic or chemical peels) which may affect the body's milk-producing process.

So it's better to wait and use any skin lightening product after nursing. :-)
