Skin Resistance
by: Anonymous

Dear Maria,

Thanks for your response. I will give my skin 2 week rest period as you have suggested before continuing with my favorite product.

However, I am still concerned whether the 2 week period won't cause the skin to become darker. I don't understand why the skin would not darken during this period. Isn't this why we do maintenance once desired results are achieved i.e. to prevent the skin from going back to its original tone.

Thanks
Gazelle

Answer:

Hi Gazelle, 2 weeks is not enough to fade away the lightening that you have worked for, unless you expose yourself under the hot sun for hours between 9am-4pm (even without the 2-week break). It will at some minimum level, because we can't afford to stay indoors for 2 weeks if we have to work and do daily stuff.

You only do a skin break IF you will switch to a new product. Otherwise, maintenance is the next step.

Resistant areas
by: Anonymous

Hi Maria,

I have been applying quite a thick layer of the product and I take time to massage the product into the skin and make sure that its fully absorbed before putting on clothing. So I am quite sure that all the skin areas are being evenly covered. If I apply the product on damp skin, would that not diminish the strength of the product.

Is it possible that the darker areas have become immune to the product and if so, how should I kick-start the effectiveness of the product.

I am thinking of using Diana Stadler on a small portion of my stubborn skin as a test and continue using fair and flawless on other areas. Do you think this is advisable?

Also when skin is being rested, why doesn't the skin darken? I thought the whole purpose of maintaining the lightening results was to prevent skin from going back to its original tone.

Thanks
Gazelle

Answer:

Hi Gazelle, the cream dones not need a thick appication, only a thin one when you use it. A thick application. Thick applications only mean some waste of the product. A thinner application will also make the whitening cream last longer.

Give your underarms a 2-week rest fom your favorite products, before using the same products or another brand.

It is not guaranteed to use 2 different brands at the same time. Uneven skin blotches are caused by this habit. Please choose only one.

If you say that the "..skin doesn't darken" during the skin rest period, that is good. If you were sun exposed, it is a different story.

Resistant areas

Hi Maria,

Regarding your response to skin becoming immune to a product. I have noticed that some parts of my skin did not reach the same level of lightness as other areas. So I am thinking that maybe the skin has become immune to it. I am using fair and flawless products and my thighs and back areas area lot darker then then other areas using this product. What would you recommend to kick-start the stubborn areas. Also when one rests their skin for 2 weeks, does not then become darker?

Thanks
Gazelle

Answer:

Hi Gazelle, uneven blotches usually occur when whitening lotions or creams are not applied evenly. To prevent this, make sure you apply the product on damp skin (leave it a little wet after shower) to allow a thinner (this actually saves makes the product last longer) and even distribution. Take time to use out your remaining product.

Sometimes, different parts react differently because we have thin and thick-skinned areas.

If you want to try our Diana Stalder products, rest the skin for 2 weeks. Skin does not get darker by itself unless you do sun exposure. You can avoid further skin darkening within this 2-week period by wearing at least SPF45 sunscreen.
