Skin looks scaly and dull
by Dasan
Dear Ms Maria, I started using your products from August 2008. I saw an improvement in 3 days but after 3 days my skin got tight and looked dull. I saw skin peel around my eyes and lips areas which is a good sign.
Its more than a month now but my face still looks scaly and dull. There is no more peeling and burning sensation. My sun damaged areas are more on the forehead and lower side chins. There is no peeling on these areas at all. I tried applying slightly more whitening cream on these areas but does not seems to do anything. I very well know it will take more time to see a results on my dark skin but why my skin is still looking dull? There are shiny patches near my eye and upper chin area.
I just bought the gluthathione supplements with Vit c and taking it for two days. I take 2 gluthathione(1500mg each) and 2(1000mg each) Vitc two hours after food at night. Is my regimen rigth?
I do see some improvements on my knees, inner thighs and elbow. I happy about it and I have the patience to wait. My only concern now is my face. I appreciate your advice Maria. Overall I am still satisfied. I have attached my picture.

Hi Dasan, I'm not sure how you followed the regimen, so I have questions for you as a guide -
1. Are you applying your facial moisturizer 10 minutes after the whitening cream?
2. Are you wearing at least SPF45 sunscreen when you go outdoors daily? And not overexpose yourself to the sun between 10am-3pm?
3. Are you applying the whitening cream on a damp face? This is recommended for an even distribution of the cream to avoid patches of uneven skin tone.
Avoid applying the whitening cream on the eye area too much. Once every 2 weeks may be enough. This is the thinnest part of our skin and skin peeling might be too harsh for it to handle. The shiny patches are the exfoliated/peeled skin that are resurfacing. It is VERY important to moisturize it every bedtime with a rich eye cream.
If you don't have the papaya soap, try it as your facial wash, avoiding the lip and eye areas. Leave on for 5 minutes on forehead and lower cheeks where it is darker. Wash off. Do this until skin peels.
After skin peels and you see some improvement, use the black soap as your facial wash thereafter. The black soap is a good follow up soap after skin has peeled which has a better bleaching effect.
Also, a skin care regimen would appear to stop working after a while. This is because the skin gets immune to the effects of the product. It happens all the time.
So what you should do is, after you see the desired results, simply maintain it by reducing or skipping the use of the products for a while (a day or two or a week) to let the skin rest. Maintenance is also cost-saving, because you'll only need 1-2x a week use, compared to daily applications when you first tried the products.
But moisturizing and sunscreen will remain a daily regimen to keep skin hydrated, not scaly or dull, and prevent further skin darkening.
For the whitening pills, do not take 2 pills in one intake. Two separate dosages are recommended, morning and night, because our body can only absorb one dosage at a time, and the excess goes to waste. So take 1 pill+1000mg Vit. C at daytime, then the same at night, 1 hour before or 2 hours after food meals.
Thank you for your patience. It will always pay off in the end. You can add further comments by simply clicking the link below this page if you have more questions. I will be here to answer them for you. :-)
