Skin lightening in patches

by Allana
(USA)

Hi Maria, I've bought the glutathione lightening kit and use the lightening cream on my underarms. So far I haven't seen much peeling but my underarms do seem slightly lighter. The problem is that the lightness is not all over, but only in certain areas of my underars like the crease. I increased my glutathione soap use to every other day to induce more peeling and I use the lightening cream every night. What else can I do to get my skin to peel more and all over instead of just in certain areas? I've already tried putting more cream on the darker parts, but the patchiness still remains.

Answer:

Hi Allana, do not force it if your skin tends to show delayed results. Some skin types need more time. Overusing the skin whitening products will NOT hasten the results. It might lead to failure because skin lightening is a gradual process.

Our skin does not have the same thickness all over and this will explain why skin peeling might not be evenly occurring on several parts of the body. Thinner skinned areas like face, neck, underarms, etc. can peel earlier than knees, elbows, hands or feet. Eventually, the overall skin tone will even out.

Maria
