skin irritation

by hallie
(texas)

I am African American and i started using the papaya soap for 5 days now. After using it my skin started to itch and now i have small bumps on my arms, stomach and face is this normal. Is this part of the exfoliation process? or should i decrease usage?

Answer:

Hi Hallie, the papaya soap might be too strong for you. Normal side effects should be slight redness, itching, burning or peeling. Red bumps indicate irritation.

Reduce usage but if the irritation persists, please discontinue the product because you have sensitive skin.

You might want to try Diana Stalder Licorice Soap (it's the pink soap) which is our mildest skin lightening soap in the line, which has an anti-inflammatory effect to prevent irritation.
