skin around lips is darker, and skin on face

by CARLOTTA
(FL, USA)

I have very fair skin (very pale),and i use to wear make up all the time but its been a few years that i just gone with out wearing make-up and my husband say he like the natural look, will after afew months not wearing makeup ,i started to get this dark stain around my lips, looks like i'm wearing a lip liner, but i'm not and its getting darker now,and my husband asked me why i was wearing make-up again, really upset me.
so my question is what do about this ,or how can i make this lighter or just go away some how.
why is this doing this? how can i stop it coming back,it really is bugging me.
did i do something to damage the skin around my lips?
could it be that since i'm almost 40,year shy, that it happen when you get older?
only way of hiding it is to wear foundation again and lip stick, which i really don't want to go to,cause it really dryed my skin out. but now if i want to go out, ihave to put makeup on ,cause i don't like it when people stare at my lips,or when my kids ask me why i'm wearing lip liner.please help,i just don't know what to do about this.

Answer:

Hi Carlotta, your makeup foundation somehow served as sunscreen or block to sun damage or darkening. As we age, skin is more prone to pigmentation, especially the face, if unprotected from sun exposure.

Now that you have dark spot around the mouth, you can choose any of our whitening creams and apply at bedtime once, plus the use of at least SPF 45 sunscreen at daytime on the entire face.

After you get rid of the darkened spot, sunscreen would remain as part of your daily regimen to keep skin darkening at bay. Then this will allow you (and your happy husband) to have the natural look without makeup..

And without dark spots. :)
