Should I use Diana Stalder Black Beauty Bar or Licorice Bar?

by FMDD
(UK)

Hi, I am enquiring on which Dianan Stalder soap my partner should use. He is of african origin and I would say he now has a dark-brown complexion. He has used a whitening cream in the past called **edited** which has left him with very bad blackheads & spots (possibly acne) and a lighter but uneven skin tone. I told him to stop using it.

He also occasionally used the **edited** whitening Cream which I stopped him using after finding out it contained hydroquinone and/or mercury.

In the summer months his complexion darkened as to please me he stopped using lightening creams and simply used my **edited** Day Cream which helps fade discoloration without the use of chemicals.

He was no longer happy with his complexion and then switched to a popular facial cream but after doing some research on this cream online I found it was banned by the British Heath Service as it contains a small amount of mercury. He only uses it occasionally (once or twice/week) and is reluctant in stopping using it as he claimed to have used it in the past to no ill-affect.

As he has developed a spotty complexion, I bought him a tea-tree face wash from the Bodyshop and he also uses my Day Cream and the popular Cream on occasions, as well as a Bodyshop Scrub (2 or 3 times/week). His light complexion has returned but it isn't even.

I took it upon myself to look for quality lightening products for him and came across your website and the Diana Stalder line. However I am at a loss on which soap he should use. As he has used lightening products in the past, can he use the Diana Stalder Black Bar or should he stick with the Licorice Bar.

I am a bit reluctant for him to use any of the creams as I simply want his complexion to even out and not necessarily lighten to a high degree. But in case the soap were not sufficient which cream would you recommend, the Dianan Stalder Whitening Cream or the Lightening Cream?

I must say your website is very informative, keep up the good work.

Answer:

Hi FMDD, thank you for your kind compliment. Also sorry for editing the brand names, because of copyright issues in the past.

Try the Black Soap, as your friend still hasn't reached the desired results. The Licorice Bar is for maintenance.

If not enough to show an improvement, you can include the Lightening Cream in his regimen.

Your partner is lucky to have someone like you who cares. :)
