Scrubs and Soap?

Hey, I was wondering if it was ok to also use a scrub along with the glutathione soap? I have a really high skin cell turnover rate and I pretty much have to exfoliate everyday otherwise I get a build up of dead skin cells sitting on my face and my complexion looks dull instead of bright. I've noticed when I just use the soap and then rinse, you can see white soap scum or something on my face and it feels sort of waxy like..its like it's stuck to my face and then I have use a scrub/exfoliating soap to loosen it up and get it off. Is this normal or is this just me? No matter if I rinse with warm or cold water..it still have the white soap scum on my face. Also I'm trying to get my face to match up with the rest of my body..my chest, upper arms and inner arm(from wrist to inner elbow) are the perfect color and are a light golden/yellow color(I'm black/puerto rican)...is it possible to lighten my whole body to the color of my inner arms. My face is the darkest part of my body I believe..it's a dark brown complexion. Will I be able to achieve that golden lightness with just the glutathione pills? Or would the soap and creams be necessary as well? Thank for your time.
Answer:
Hi Alejandro, the topical products - skin whitening soap, lotion, cream - work differently (externally) from the skin whitening pills (internally). The topical skin whiteners work faster (1-4 weeks depending on your skin sensitivity) because they are directly applied on skin, exfoliate and/or peel skin faster to remove the dark skin spots, but the results are cosmetic. The pills slowly work from the inside out like vitamins or dietary supplements, and take time (months depending on your metabolism) to build its foundation, but the antioxidant effects benefit overall skin and body health, with a side effect that is skin lightening.
So you see, they work differently from each other. You can do either, or both.
And scrubs or exfoliating cloth, sponge or loofah are a no-no during the skin lightening process because of the peeling process. Scrubbing can make skin sore or irritated.
Daily scrubbing is bad for skin actually. You are scraping off fresh skin everyday, and this can make skin drier and duller. Exfoliate once a week only (if not in a skin lightening regimen) because dead skin cells and excess oils do not build up on skin daily.
If you feel you will have a problem with using skin lightening soaps, you can simply go with the skin lightening pills. The lightest your skin can get is nearest to the lightest shade you have within your body, or closest to the shade when you were younger. But is can take time -
* Light-medium brown skin: 1-3 months
* Dark brown skin: 3-6 months
* Very dark skin: 6-12 months
* Black skin: 18 months minimum and above
Hope that helps. :)
