Red and ashy inner thighs

by Elena

Hi Maria, I have been using the Skin Lightening cream every night on my inner thighs for about 2 weeks now. So far, I have noticed some peeling and flaking, but I haven't really noticed the lighter skin yet. Instead, there is redness and the skin looks ashy.

Are these signs of overpeeling? Or is it a sign that it is getting ready to peel some more? Should I continue using the cream daily?

I've attached a picture to show you how it looks like now after 2 weeks of application.

Thanks.
Elena

Answer:

Hi Elena, reduce application of the skin whitening cream to every other day or even lesser if you feel some stinging or burning sensation.

All your symptoms are normal, but remember, the inner thighs are thin, sensitive and constantly exposed to friction - rubbing against clothing we wear especially tight underwear, which can cause further darkening of the area.

So try to wear loose clothing and underwear during this process, that's why it's best to apply the cream at bedtime.

Two weeks is still too early to see results for dark inner thighs. Be patient and always use the whitening cream within your comfort level.

Skin turned brown
by: Elena

Hi Maria,

I've been applying the Dermaline whitening cream on the area between my butt cheeks, and I'm just slightly worried about what I see right now.

I used it every night for about 3 weeks and I have noticed peeling in the 'crack' area and the lower part of the butt itself. That part has turned lighter. But the area around it has not been peeling, and has turned a brownish red tone. I'm just wondering if the surrounding part will eventually peel, or is it possible that it won't and it will stay that shade of reddish brown?

I have reduced the application to every other night now but am just unsure of whether to continue the application or to stop altogether. I just don't want to end up with a funky looking butt! :( Right now, it looks much worse than what it was before I started the applications. All I wanted to do was to even out the skin tone.

Please help!

Answer:

Hi Elena, you are doing the right thing by reducing the frequency of application (on the lightened inner butt), or further reduce if the brownish red area stings when you wash or apply the cream. It will eventually peel off as well. One area does not usually lighten evenly at the same time.

Butt Crack
by: Elena

Hi Maria,

Is the area between the butt cheeks easier to whiten than inner thighs?

Also, will the cream work on ingrown hair scars in the underarms? The cream did help lighten my underarms and I'm very very happy about that! :) Just curious as to whether it will help lighten the scars too...they seem kind reddish right now.

Answer:

Hi Elena, yes the butt area is easier to lighten than the inner thighs, although it is thicker-skinned.

LEt the red scars heal first before using the whitening cream. Until they become brownish or darker, then it is safer. :)

Any inner thigh succes stories?
by: Elena

Hi Maria,

Thanks for the reply. I am still religiously applying the cream every night and keeping my fingers crossed. I started peeling a few days ago, but the area is still kinda dark, even after peeling.

I was just wondering, have there been any 'inner thigh' success stories? How long did it take for the darkened skin to nearly match the rest of the legs? Since it has started peeling after 2-3 weeks, will I be able to see the lighter new skin in 2-3 months?

Thanks!

Answer:

Hi Elena, we do not have any success story for dark inner thighs on record. Maybe I am thinking of soliciting a few from our valued customers. Here are a few tips.

Dark inner thighs are a little difficult to treat because these are constantly exposed to friction - rubbing against surrounding skin and clothing we wear daily. When skin starts to peel, reduce application of whitening cream to 2-3x a week only, or within comfort level. Try to wear loose clothing during the process, and apply whitening cream at bedtime when skin is at rest.

Be consistent. Patience is a virtue that can pay off soon. :)
