Products contain Mercury

by Seriah
(Caribbean)

Maria, There is a site www.beautifulreview.com which indicates that Diana Stalder products, dermaline contain Mercury and there is a warning by NYC Health Department asking persons not to use those products.

What are your views?

Answer:

Hi Seriah, this has been a wrong notion about Dermaline that it is the same "Dermaline" in question described on this NYC Health article.

Clearly, the article referred to "Dermaline" which came from the Dominican Republic and has already been banned due to its mercury content.

Diana Stalder products are made in the Philippines and have been approved for marketing in the US and globally because each product is supported by BFAD permits.

So it is simply a case of name similarity but totally different products.

Here's a similar question regarding safety of Diana Stalder products posted on this site.

Hope that clears that issue. :-)

Dermaline imported from Dominican Republic
by: Anonymous

Hello, I bought a Dermaline skin whitening imported from the Dominican Republic, i checked the ingredients online and none of them are bad, they don't have mercury listed in the list of ingredients. So does that mean the product is safe?

Answer:

Hello, we apologize but we cannot endorse nor discredit any other skin whitening product brands for business ethics sake. But pls note that Dermaline from DR has a history of mercury-contained cream before which was all over the news a few years back. Maybe they removed it already but this is something you have to confirm with them directly.
