pigment change in parts of my lower legs

I am 81 years old.
A few years ago, I began to notice dark red spots on my legs. My dermatologist called it prepura. After I stopped taking some medication the redness went away and sections of my legs ( below the knees ) became darker , not red anymore. It is worse near the ankles .
When I have to show my legs, I use dermablend, which is a pain. It comes off on clothes unless you wait for it to dry completely. I would like to lighten the dark areas.
What skin whitening products would work best ?
Thanks,
Maryanne
P. S. I have spent a lot of time in the sun before sunblock was invented.

Hi Maryanne, one thing I admire about you is still being beauty conscious to age gracefully. Because some people lose it when they reach even 2-3 decades younger than you are. That's right, keep staying beautiful. :)
As a suggested solution, and hopefully works well with your skin type, try Diana Stalder Glutathione Soap and Lightening Lotion Kit.
Skin lightening products work cosmetically, on the skin's topmost layer only. If your discoloration is beyond the epidermis, the dark spots can only lighten but not be totally removed.
However, if your skin type responds well to the product, what do you know, 'Goodbye dermablend' soon? :)
Good luck and take care,
Maria
