peeled skin > red > dark inner thighs

Hi, Maria! :)
I ordered a bleaching lotion in the net and it promises to whiten the dark parts of the body including the inner thighs. So I bought 'cause I was desperate to lighten my skin so I can wear swimsuit for the next summer.
I applied the lotion in my thighs til it peeled. I noticed that my thighs were getting red and itchy. I thought it was normal or just because of the friction between my legs. So I stopped using it and I bought the Hydrocortisone to lessen the redness of my skin but still it didn't work.
1 week later, my skin was still red and itchy. I was so worried that it might get darker. Well, it is now. (shown in the picture - deleted for privacy). I am shy to wear my shorts and skirts. If it was the reason that makes my inner thighs darker, i should've not bought it. It makes me feel so dumb to use it.
What are the best solution for my dark reddish inner thighs to whiten it without making it worse? I'm so desperate right now if what products should I buy to lighten my skin before summer. Please advice me. You're my only hope. :(
GOD BLESS you and More power!! :D
Answer:
Hi Kristine, you have developed irritation from the skin bleaching lotion that you purchased. Once the skin becomes red and itchy, it is a sign of allergy and/or irritation and the product usage should be discontinued immediately. Otherwise, the problem gets worse. I guess this is what you're undergoing right now.
It is not wise to re-apply another skin whintener on red sore skin. Let it heal for a few weeks until it dries up totally.
Thereafter, try to look for a reliable brand or go to a Diana Stalder branch (available in Edsa Central Mandaluyong) for consultation. They will be able to suggest something for you.
For a further guide, read our dark underarms and inner thighs page (scroll down to the blue table box and see "Important Instructions"). That should give you a better idea how to approach your problem better this time.
Take care,
Maria
