My upper lip and chin area looked totally charred.how do I correct it?

by Distressed boy
(Singapore)

Hi,I have been having this issue for the last 2 years.im a 24yr old male.i shave both my upper lip and chin area.and over time these areas have become totally darkened.even after I shave the areas still look really black and it looks like a black stain on my face.its worse in pics because while the rest of my face looks fair, these 2 areas look really dark like a French beard.

i have seen a doctor and he has told me that it is probably over exposure to the sun.and it might not be able to be treated.im at my wit's hands because it is really embarassing.

kindly give me some recommendations.Im unable to attach a picture as to help you see the agony I'm going through with a charred upper lip and chin as im using a iphone to type this.if you have a email i would be able to email you a picture.I sincerely hope you will answer my distress and be able to help me regain my self confidence.

Answer:

Hi Distressed Boy, there would be no harm trying any of our skin whitening creams and apply once a day at bedtime, but make sure you wear sunscreen at daytime.

Give it 2-3 weeks and if it works well with your skin type, you should be seeing an improvement already, and bring back that lost self-confidence in you. :)

I have oily skin
by: Distressed boy

Hi,thank you for your reply.i have oily skin.so based on your expertise will the whitening cream work?and could you kindly let me know if the black soap or the papaya soap is more appropriate for my condition?

Answer:

Hi Distressed Boy, for oily skin, the whitening cream can help. If your skin responds well, you should be seeing results in 1-3 weeks. For the soap, the papaya soap is recommended only if you do not have sensitive skin. Otherwise, the black soap is milder and is the good choice for sensitive skin.
