My skin whitening cream is turning brown, is this normal?

by Karen
(Canada)

Hi Maria, My whitening cream is turning brown? Is this normal? Is the cream still effective? Should I keep using it? Can you please tell me why the colour is changing?
Thanks

Answer:

Hi Karen, frequent opening of the whitening cream jar can create oxidation thereby can cause discoloration of the cream. This is normal. If you have been opening the whitening cream jar for just short time and close it right away, it is fine. But if you leave the jar open for a long time before closing it up, this could affect the potency of the whitening ingredients. The darker the discoloration, the less effective the cream becomes.

Yellowish to light brown is ok, but medium brown to darker is not good anymore.

Hope this gives you a better idea.

Maria
