Lightening Oily Skin Effectively
(West Midlands, England)
Hello Maria, I'm 32 and a British-African with oily skin. As you know our skin type is susceptible to all sorts of skin problems and I have had my fair share of those!
My face has significantly darkened as the years have gone by so after extensive research and many skincare products later, I decided to try your stuff out.
I have been using the BCP papaya/kojic acid soap and whitening cream with the necessary moisturiser and sunscreen for 3 weeks now.
I use it in the morning and at night. I must say the results are quite remarkable. My only issue is that some areas on my face seem to be lightening faster than others.
My husband actually made a comment today stating that whatever I'm using on my skin, I need to stop because its making my skin look slightly patchy. I responded in a matter-of-fact kind of tone that I'm going through a lightening process to try and even out and lighten my skin and that's what is supposed to happen.
Whether this point is valid or not, only you can verify this Maria! From a short distance, my skin complexion looks brighter, but when i look closely in the mirror, I'm seeing his point.
Should I continue with my current regimen in the hope that the other areas will also gradually lighten. I don't know if 3 weeks is enough time to achieve the final result I'm looking for; which is to get back to skin tone 7 having darkened to a 9/10 without looking like a cheetah in the process!Lol.
Really, it's not that bad; i just want to know if this is normal and if I am on the right track. If not, your advice would be great.
Thanks for reading.

Hello there, my recommendation on the instruction sheet is to use the skin whitening products once a day, especially when the papaya soap is involved because this is a potent soap - but great for oily skin. :)
The skin on our face is not equal in thickness. Some areas are thinner - nose, eye and around the mouth. These sections may peel earlier (a good sign of determining thinner skin) and should be avoided too much use of the skin lighteners, compared to regular use on thicker areas - to even out the effect.
For now, 2x a day use can work for some, but 1x a day is fine, especially for the face. Until you see your desired results, maintenance is only 2-3x a week (sunscreen remains daily for protection).
If you are also experiencing uncomfortable dryness, add your favorite facial moisturizer to keep skin supple and hydrated.
3 weeks is a good time to show an improvement, and you're fine. Just follow the reduction in application and adjust accordingly based on your skin type. :)
Maria
