Lighten area around already light spots?

by CC

Hi, I see that you talk a lot about lightening dark areas and overall skin tone, but I wonder if this will work to alleviate light areas? I have tinea versicolor on my entire torso. The light spots will not tan at all and they are too small and scattered to work around. would you suggest these products to even out the skin color anyway?

if so do you think the use of anti-fungal products (to keep the condition under control) would interfere with the skin lightening products?

Which do you recommend for my issue? I am not aiming for a lighter skin color overall, just an even color- but i'll accept a slightly lighter color if necessary.

Answer:

Hi CC, Tinea versicolor does not leave permanent skin discoloration. Your skin will get back to normal after a few months or so. It might be safer to leave it as is until the skin tone evens out because skin lightening will involve skin peeling which might not be recommended for tinea versicolor-prone skin because of the presence of fungus.

Hope I could be of help further. :-)

Maria
