i am 6 months pregnant and still im using kojic acid soap even before i got pregnant..is it safe to continue using it?

thank you

your immediate response is highly appreciated.

Answer:

Hi Gelai, any use of skin whitening products during pregnancy and nursing should be discontinued. The papaya soap specifically, is acid0based and induces skin peeling, which is not recommended by doctors. You can resume after childbirth or lactation period.

Stretchmark Lightening Kits
by: honeybee

Hi I wanted to know if these are safe during the breastfeeding period.

Kojic Acid Soap and Kojic Acid Lotion
Bleaching Cream/ Whitening Creams
0.1% retinoic acid cream
Green Peel Oil

I got these from a friend who told me this kit lightens dark spots and strechmarks I have during pregnancy.

Answer:

Hi Honeybee, skin the skin whitener until after childbirth. Skin lightening has not been proven safe or unsafe during pregnancy.
