African American skin tone

Hi Maria! I've decided I want to try the Diana Stalder line to whiten my face and body. I'm African American and have a medium-dark brown skin tone and wanted to lighten it up to a Halle Berry/Beyonce/Tyra Banks light brown. Do you think that will be achievable with Diana Stalder Whitening Line? Also I don't have a credit card or use paypal and I saw that there was a Western Union option. How do I go about ordering it that way? I can't wait to start my regimen!! lol

A good Sunscreen?

Hey Maria!! Do you know what i should look for in ingredients when i look for sunscreen. I currently have a SPF 45 from neutrogena that i love alot..but i know the spf is not the best and that I should get a higher one. But i figured it was ok right now because at the most..I'm only outside for like 45 seconds at a time. But anyways i went to go get a high spf..and the highest one was Banana Boat and when i put it on..it made me look REALLY ashy..like i needed to put lotion on. So I was wondering if you could recommend a high spf that wouldn't have that opacity with it.

Answer:

Hi Courtney! You've been doing very well in your regimen. SPF 45 is good for 45 seconds lol. But seriously, it is ok for winter time. During summer, try a higher SPF. Neutrogena has an SPF 70. It's what I use.

There are also gel-type or spray sunscreens if your skin is oily or if you don't want it to look pasty. The ingredients to look for are Mexoryl, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Oxide or Avobenzone.

Hey Maria!!! Thanks for the tips! I'm glad I got that cleared up lol. Just one more quick question..i've been noticing some peeling right above my upper lip and nose area. I was just wondering if that was normal..i haven't been experiencing pealing anywhere else on my face so i wasn't sure if the peeling process was starting or if that part of my skin was getting irritated. That part of my face is normally more sensitive than the rest of my face and when i first started using the soap..the stinging in that area was immediate..the rest of my face didn't start stinging until a week or so later. So is this all just normal?

Answer:

Hi Courtney, glad to hear back from you. Peeling around the mouth and nose area is normal because these are thinner skinned than the rest of the face or body. The sting is also normal because the resurfacing fresh skin is sensitive. Reduce the use of the cream or soap on the mouth and nose area to avoid over peeling. The rest of your skin will start to peel soon. Just make sure you don't forget your sunscreen daily. :-)

Hey Maria! How was your holiday? lol I miss our email conversations lol. Anywho I just wanted to ask one quick question and figured I'd ask it on here so other people could see it too. Is it better put the soap on your face dry or wet? Like ones your lather the soap on your hands first..should your face be dry or wet? I tried it a first times when it was wet and let it stay on for like 10 minutes and then tried it when it was dry. I liked it a little bit more when it was dry because it seem to make more of a white mask and really stuck to my skin, where as when it was wet it stuck but there was areas where i could still see my skin lol. I don't know if it really matters or not but I just wanted to get your advice on which one is better?

Oh and I have another question too, when I take my Glutathione pills and vitamin C pills, should I space them out or take them together? What i've been doing is in them morning I take 1 Glutathione pill, with 2 1000mg Vitamin C pills, and then at night I take the other Glutathione Pill. Is that ok?

Hey Courtney, I was just thinking about how you're doin' too. :-)

When using the soap, make sure your face is already wet before you apply the soap's lather. When you leave it on skin for 10 minutes, it will dry up on skin until the 10 minutes are up. Thereafter wash it off. Yes, it seems to work like a facial mask.

When you take the Gluta pills, take it with just one 1000mg Vitamin C pills. The second dosage of Gluta pills should be taken with another 1000mg Vitamin C supplement. The thing is, always take teh Glutathione pills with 1000mg Vitamin C pills for a better effect.
