Is something happening????

by Fiona
(USA)

I actually have 3 questions...I've been using this skin whitening kit for about five days now and on the fourth day my skin peeled in the form of pencil eraser shavings when i rubbed my skin dry after the shower...and it was an EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT of "pencil eraser shavings" and today too!!..i know its kind of soon but i sort of feel a difference i mean my skin doesnt show a tremendous amount of progress in tone yet but even when i leave on the soap before rinsing i feel a slight itch...is something happening so soon or is this wishful thinking?

I also wanted to know if i could lather the soap in my net shower poof instead of in my hands?

and lastly, would you reccomend this: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/180-5399645-4739643?ASIN=B00125CZE6&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B00125CZE6|Neutrogena_Healthy_Defense_Daily_Moisturizer_with_SPF_45&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B00125CZE6&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001

Answer:

Hi Fiona, the first peeling is usually the major one, so you're fine. :) Peeling on the fifth day of the skin lightening process is not uncommon. Itching, redness, stinging are also part of the normal side effects because peeling skin is fresh. You may lessen the use of the products if at any time this can be uncomfortable for you. Use within your comfort level ONLY. Soon, the skin will start to show a lightening improvement.

Do not use any exfoliating scrub, cloth or loofah with the skin lightening soap. Further exfoliating materials can make your skin sore. Remember, skin lightening involves skin peeling, so scrubbing skin can hurt it.

Lastly, the link you provided for the sunscreen seems to be a good one - moisturizer and sunscreen in one.

Tattoo on my new skin?
by: Fiona

I know my skin is thinning from these products but I would like a tattoo. Would you advise that? Is it too sensitive?

Answer:

Hi Fiona, tattoo is not a problem, as long as you haven't used any skin lightener on that area of skin for 1 month to make sure it has healed already.

Does the whitening creme expire?
by: Anonymous

My big bottle of cream used to be a white color cream and now its browning. its a golden yellow-tan color now. Is this normal and okay to still use? Or is this product actually perishable/expiratory?

Answer:

Hello, all cosmetic products expire, usually up to more than a year after opening. As long as the whitening cream is not brown, it's ok. Discoloration can occur because of the oxidation effect when you frequentrly open the jar. Avoid leaving the jar open for along time when not in use. After getting the amount you need, immediately close the container to avoid further discoloration.

I'm so happy!
by: Fiona

As you know, I've been using the papaya soap and black soap with whitening cream (the big one) for quite a while(For full body lightening). I just wanted to give you an update on some changes:

I have stopped using the skin whitening soaps and cream everyday and am now using it every other day and on the days that I am not using it, I use Proactiv on the face (I know it's not good to use different brands together but I get REALLY bad acne breakouts and I haven't noticed any sign of bad compatibility between the Proactiv and Dermaline products during the 3 months of using them together.)

Another thing I wanted to tell you is I am thinking of stopping the use of the sunblock/moisturizer I told you about because the bottle is too small and runs out easily. Thus, what do you know about this one: http://www.walgreens.com/store/catalog/Sun-Protection/Ultra-Sheer-Body-Mist-Sunblock/ID=prod3791653&navCount=1&navAction=push-product?V=G&ec=frgl_&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=sku3790502

I was thinking of pairing it with this moisturizer: http://www.vitasprings.com/tea-time-green-tea-moisturizer-cream-jason-natural.html

Let me know what you think about all this. Oh and might I add I love my new skin!! It's so pale and caramely!! I will show you photos and testimonial when it has been a year or so of using it which is this November!!!

By the way I think I accidentally unsubscribed cause I havent been getting anything from your question pages; please put me back in your mailing list.

Answer:

Hi Fiona, that is awesome news! Oh by the way, sorry for the late reply as our computer was down for a few days. Anyway, it is so heartwarming to read a happy story.

You did a great job experimenting what can work best for your skin type. I'm proud of you.

Sure, that Neutrogena sunscreen and moisturizer seem to be a good combination.

I look forward to your testimonial. :)
