Is it safe to use whitening cream on my 11 yr old daughter.' She is using Neutrogenas whitening cream. If not what to use. she has been on the darker side since her birth & when somebody comments on her being dark she feel's bad.' Could u plz help in l'ightening her compl'exion

Hi Sunita, I understand your concern for your daughter. However, she's too young to use skin whitening creams or soaps.

Skin lightening will involve skin peeling, dryness, itching, redness. For young skin, this can be unmanageable, and irritation is likely. So talk her out of it, and try to only wear sunscreen to prevent accumulated skin darkening over time. And that she can use skin lightening products when she becomes at least 16 yrs old.
