Hello there, I am an african american with the skin tone of chocolate, and i HATE it!!!! i know a lot of people say i should be proud of it, and i am very proud of that color, but its just not for me, skin color to me is like fashion, and the color chocolate is not taste you see. i want to get to a skin tone that is almost like an light orange tan, not really orange, but more in that direction, my mom has this skin color, but i got my skin tone from my dad. is it possible that i can make my skin tone light as my mothers because she is my mother?.... i also remember reading that you said, it all the skin lightening works, it will work to as light as your skin can get, well i have these stretch marks on my arms, and there very light, is it possible that if the skin light works for me, it could get to that color?
ALSO, there is something i heard called gluthathoine iv, where its basically taken through needles or pills? does that stuff really work? and if so, do you have to go to the doctors to get it done? and if so, it it possible to get it done without having a real medical problem??
i cant be "me" being the skin color i am, and i would do ANYTHING to be lighter, what can i do???/

Hi Alli, we all have our personal preferences. What makes one happy may not be the same for others, but we also live to feel good about ourselves because we deserve it. As long as what you're doing is safe, be free.
The lighter skin underneath a stretch mark may not be a good indicator of how much lighter your skin can get. Your original skin tone when you were younger, or genetic characteristics may determine the possibilities. And of course, your own unique skin type.
Glutathione IV (intravenous) are injectables. WHat we have here on the site are glutathione skin whitening pills. Glutathione IV has a faster effect because they're injected (preferably by a medical professional) into the bloodstream but is very expensive (@ $300 - $1000) a month.
The skin whitening pills work like vitamins. Takes months to show effects, and for chocolate skin tones, this can take 6 months to a year.
Both are safe, but be cautious where you buy them (we do not carry Glutathione IV).
Your other option are the skin whitening soaps, lotions, creams. These can work faster within weeks because they are used directly on skin. If you'll ask me what you can try, I'd suggest the Diana Stalder Glutathione Soap Whitening Kit that comes with Glutathione Soap, lotion and cream (under "Skin Whitening Kits").
I'm sure you're a young sweet lady. Stay focused on life's blessings, follow your heart, and keep smiling. :)
