I used kojic acid soap made from the philippines...
by Lee
(NJ)
I am wanting to know why, when I used kojic acid soap specifically for a melasma spot on the right side of my face, that I am now left with a red blotch in place of where the brown spot was. Will this go away?.. it also seems that this red blotch is off to the side where the brown spot is located.
Answer:
Hi Lee, the red blotch is caused by peeling. You see, the papaya kojic soap is a bit strong skin whitening soap. When used on face with sensitive skin, it tends to peel more, so use not too often. Once the skin peels, reduce usage of the product within your comfort level only. Do not expose yourself to the sun when skin is peeling because it can make sun sensitive skin darker than before. Wear sunscreen if you need to go outdoors.
