I Need Melasma Advice Please!
I have had melasma for the last 8 years and have spent a fortune trying to even and lighten my reddish skin with brown splotches on my forehead and cheeks. I never had a problem with my skin tone until after menopause. I'm in my mid-fifties and asian.
I never had issues with my skin tone until now and I am frustrated with getting it even and lighter. I have tried laser, expensive creams, and other than irritating my skin turning redder temporarily, none of these expensive treatments have worked to get rid of the stubborn brown areas on my face.
I was told to give up and that melasma cannot be gotten rid of. Is this true? Someone told me that kojic acid is the best non-hydroquinone product on the market. There are so many expensive skin whitening products that look like scams on the internet. I need something that finally works.
Can anyone advise me about this site and what I should get to even and lighten my face.
Please tell me the main active ingredient(s) in the product so I can look up how effective it will be. I would like to hear what really works, but am leaning toward Glutathione and highest % of kojic acid possible.
I'm very confused about which of the two products at this site i should go for: Diana Stadler or Dermaline??? I need something that is powerful enough to get rid of my melasma or at least reduce it to almost nothing.
Answer:
Hello, getting rid of melasma is really difficult because it usually comes with age and is hormonally-induced. When a woman reaches the menopausal age, hormonal imbalance can cause hyperpigmentation and comes from within the body system, which is the main factor making the recurrence of melasma constant, even when using various solutions.
However, it is not impossible to lighten the dark spots. It is just a matter of finding the right skin lighteners that can work for your skin type, because each individual is unique and can react to different brands diversely.
Hopefully, what we can recommend here can work well for you. For your easy reference, you can find our list of skin whitening ingredients here. And the solution suggested is a combination of Dermaline DE Papaya Kojic Acid Soap and Whitening Cream.
Please remember that this papaya soap is potent and is not for sensitive skin. The addition of the whitening cream can enhance results faster.
Don't forget that sun exposure can worsen a melasma condition. Sunscreen would be your best friend in preventing further hyperpigmentation, while the skin whiteners can lighten the discoloration.
All the best for your endeavor and hope our skin whitening products are the key to your peace of mind. :)
