i have discoloration and scars on my knees

by Victoria
(CA)

hey ate maria :) ive been using the licorice/black soap and whitening cream on my knees for 6 days now but i dont really see any results :( its just softer. does this mean that this will take2-3 weeks to peel? and my knees are getting kind of darker..

ive been using it on my face for 4 days now. Will my face become darker before peeling?

i really want my knees and my face to start peeling because its starting to become warmer and i would like my knees to become lighter..

when i wake up in the morning before i take shower i wet my face and knees and apply the black soap and wait for about 10 minutes and wash it off while im taking a shower..thn i apply the whitening cream on my face and knees thn i wait for 10-15 minutes and apply my favorite mosturizer (ponds). thn i put sun screen on my face i have spf 50.

i do this 2x a day, i plan on ordering the whitening pills next week :).

but i want my knees to start peeling soon :(

does this mean i might have to wait 2-3 weeks before it peels?

oh and i also put baby powder on my knees to lessen the friction when i walk .

:)

godbless and salamt poh!

Answer:

Hi Victoria, the darker or 'ashy' look is preparing the skin to peel. It's all normal. After skin peels, it will reveal a lighter skin layer. Your skin type may be needing a bit more time so be a little patient.

You are doing well on your regimen. Keep it up and be consistent. It will pay off soon. :)

knee discoloration

hi ate maria,

last night when i applied the black/licorice soap on my face i noticed that my face started to burn. on a scale of 1-10 its probably a 4. but when i washed it off the burning decreased. but this morning when i applied the whitening cream it started to irritate my skin again. but it only lasted 20 seconds or so.

i have noticed that the skin on the corner of nose was starting to peel off. but not bigger than probably 2 cm.

and so is my chin, but not on my knees yet :( sad to say.

have a great day ate maria :) godbless

Answer:

Hi Victoria, before I answer your question, please remember to click on the "Comments" link below your main skin whitening question page (bookmark this) to ask follow up questions, not on the main Help Line. This way, I could monitor you and not get lost with your progress.

Getting back to your question - now, your skin starts to react with the product. Try to lessen the usage of both soap and cream. The burning and peeling are normal. Avoid too much soap or cream on the nose and chin area where skin peels faster, maybe 2-3x a week only. But you can use the soap as your daily facial wash, without leave on time.

Don't worry, knees will peel later. When your face peels, the skin on the knees are just thicker but it will follow.
