Hyperpigmentation Removal

by Ahijah
(California)

If the soaps or creams peel my face and rid my hyperpigmentation, but if i stop using it will my hyperpigmentation come back. i am not trying to lighten my face i am only trying to get rid of my hyperpigmentation because my face is already light enough. also, u say the pills will rid hyperpigmentation, but if i stop using them will it come back. many doctors say hyperpigmentaion cant come back after removal but others don't know plz help...

Answer:

Hi Ahijah, hyperpigmentation is mainly caused by hormones or sun exposure. After you get rid of them with the use of skin lightening products, the chance of recurring will depend on your skin type - your sensitivity to the sun, and of course, your hormones.

Dark spots on skin have concentrated melanin pigments. After they're removed with topical skin whitening solutions or pills, these melanin pigments can re-activate. But the good news is, these can be controlled as well. Sun avoidance and sunscreen will play a major part in keeping the desired results that way.

Hope that helps.
