hyperpigmentation on face

by Pip
(Australia)

Hi Maria, I have several dark spots on each side of my cheek bones, and just on the outer corner of each eye. I have to wear make up to hide these spots. My skin used to be perfect and even until about 7 years ago. I have tried lots of skin whitening creams from Shisheido to Ultraceuticals. I have spent hundreds of dollars but nothing has worked.

My skin is now quite sensitive since I used the Ultra C Diminish Cream in the Ultraceuticals range. This has vitamins C and A, licorice and boswellia extracts. After using this I broke out in hives.

I am currently using all natural moisturisers to help the pigmentation but after a long year I have not noticed much at all.

I would really appreciate your advice on this as I would be interested to hear what you would recommend.

Pip

Answer:

Hi Pip, that's quite a long journey you've been through. Though I cannot lie to you and guarantee results because this will depend on your skin sensitivity and skin type, I do hope this is your last stop for a skin lightening solution.

Since you have sensitive skin, I would suggest the mildest skin lightening soap, Diana Stalder Licorice Soap and Lightening Cream (the soap is the pink one). Use it as your daily facial wash then apply the lightening cream.

Sunscreen, at least SPF 45, would be a daily regimen for you too, whenever you go out between 9am-5pm. Sun exposure does aggravate the skin's dark spots.

Hi Maria, i have just written a testamonial on you site and was wondering if I would get 25%off my next order? What do I have to do now? I tried to crop my picture but I still have part of my eye visible, could you please crop it a little more?
Thanks so much
Pip

Answer:

Of course, Pip! I have edited your photo and covered the mouth area, so the little eye area showing is fine.

Yes, you'll have a 25% discount on your next order. :)

Hyperpigmentation on face

Hi Maria,

My face has seemed to lighten with the tablets and the cream but the hyperpigmentation spots on my face aren't fading so fast. I have been applying the cream mainly on these spots but it still looks a lot darker. What should I do? I haven't bought the black soap yet as over the xmas season it was quite hectic. I have ordered more tablets but am still waiting for that to come. Should I stop with the tablets as its giving me an overall lightening and the spots look more apparent. Do you think these spots will soon lighten up with time, it has been 5 weeks since I have started the cream.

Answer:

Hi Pip, the Black Soap might help with your hyperpigmentation. It can induce mild skin peeling to help remove the dark spot layer and allow the whitening cream to work faster.

The skin whitening pills will have an overall lightening effect and will not target the dark spots alone. If this is not your goal, then taking the whitening pills is not the solution.

Hope that gvies you a better idea.

Hi Maria,

I have been using the licorice soap and the lightening cream with the pills now for 3 weeks and am seeing results but is a bit slow. My skin feels dry after I put on the cream but then is ok after my own special cream. Only thing is my face is not peeling, should I try the black soap as this is also for sensitve skin, right?

I am really happy with with progress so far so I would like to get some soap and cream for my 64 year old mum. she doesn't have sensitve skin so what do you recommend for someone her age with hyperpigmentaion.

Thank you for getting me on these products. Can't wait to see my pigments lighter!!

Answer:

Yes Pip, you can try the Black Soap for the face too. See how it works for you. You can easily go back to the mildest Licorice Soap if any bad reaction occurs.

For your mum, let her use the Black Soap and Lightening Cream. Don't forget to tell her to use her favorite anti-aging cream too to alleviate any skin dryness.

I'm happy for your results. You've been also doing a great job yourself. :)

Take care,
Maria

Hi Maria,

if I take one tablet twice a day would I have to take the vit C twice a day for it to be effective?

Pip

Answer:

Hi Pip, when you take the whitening pill, you ALWAYS take it with vitamin C. :)

Hi Maria, would it be safe for me to also take the whitening pill (for Asian sensitive skin) with the Diana Stalder licorice soap and lightening cream that you recommended?

Also is there a place in Australia that you are affiliated with that I could get these products at a cheaper price for delivery?

How long does it usually take for delivery if I order through your website?

Pip

Answer:

Yes Pip, the skin whitening pills are just dietary supplements and are safe to take.

We currently do not have a reseller in Australia yet. Standard shipping to your country takes 2 weeks. If you choose "Express shipping", that takes 1 week only.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I forgot to mention that I am originally from southeast Asia so my skin is probably one of the hardest to treat.
I would also like to know whether any of these products that you have recommended have paraben in them.

Pip

Answer:

Hi Pip, you're welcome. :)
The whitening lotions and creams contain paraben, methyl- and propyl-paraben, which are the safer paraben used moderately to stabilize the shelf life of the skin whitening products. This is to prevent any bacteria forming and therefore good for the consumer.
