Hydroquinone

by John
(Philippines)

i've tried to use hydroquinone and whe i stopped using it, my face looks like it was burnt and it turned really dark. how can i make my face go back on its normal color? i'm asian with brown skin.

Answer:

Hi John, our skin during and right after the skin lightening process is more sensitive to the sun, and may cause skin to become darker than before - if you become negligent. Avoiding sun exposure especially between 9am-5pm, and wearing at least SPF 45 sunscreen are suggested to avoid this from happening.

Worse, you used hydroquinone-based skin whitening product that even made your skin sun sensitive.

You have to do the whole skin lightening process again. But this time, you have to do a little 'tlc' as suggested above to protect your skin.

Make sure you use skin lighteners without hydroquinone, mercury or steroid to be safe.
