Hydroquinone and mercury
Hello, I bought what I thought was your skin whitening product from *edited* about a year ago (under the same product name) but after receiving it I e-mailed the seller who then told me that the cream and lotion both contained hydroquinone even though it has the same active ingredients listed as yours.
I never used the product and it is still sitting under my computer desk unopened. I had ordered both the cream and lotion and also the black and papaya soaps.
I am wondering how safe albutrin is since it is one of the main ingredient.
I am asking this question because I read that albutrin can turn into the chemical compound hydroquinone.
I am an African American women with medium skin tone. My face and body is lighter than my body but I would like to make my arms, legs and feet, which are considerably darker than the rest of my body lighter so I can have an even complexion through out my body.
I have read that your skin whitening products are all natural; however, I do not want to make the same mistake that I made with my other order that had the same description as yours.
Please let me know if the Active ingredients listed for the products are all natural, and that they do not contain neither hydroquinone nor mercury so that I can place my order immediately.
I also would like your recommendation. I have combination skin but my face is a little sensitive.
Once my arms, legs and feet are lighter, I would like to make my face and the rest of my body lighter by no more than two shades.
Thank you in advance for your prompt response.
Answer:
Hello, to answer your first question, arbutin is actually a hydroquinone-derivative - BUT not from or the same as the original synthetic hydroquinone which is the harmful ingredient. Arbutin is plant-derived, therefore natural, and does NOT possess the harmful properties of synthetic hydroquinone. So I hope that clears your confusion about the difference between the two.
If indeed what you bought before contained hydroquinone and the seller is referring to arbutin, then it is safe. :)
Similarly, our skin whitening products do NOT contain synthetic hydroquinone, mercury or steroid.
You can try the Papaya Soap for the arms, legs and feet to even out your skin tone, then apply the lightening lotion for faster results.
Hope that helps.
