Have discoloration and scars on my knees

by Victoria
(CA USA)

Hey, i dont know if i should call u "ate maria" or just "maria" but i think "ate maria" would be much polite. :)

so i hope u dont mind me calling you "ate maria" :)

uhm this is victoria again. i would just like to know if i use the black soap and whitening cream on my face will my face become darker before peeling?

i dont have any acne or anything.my face is quite healthy and acne free, its just a little bit darker than the way i want it too,.

my skins not really sensative but i do get darker quite easily in the summer if i stay out in the sun for too long..

since im 15 and kind of cluless can u please tell me how to use it? to make it more successful in working?

and what are the basic steps in using it on my face and on my knee? and how long do i have to keep the soap or cream on my face before washing it off?

will this take more than 1-3 weeks? lol im just realy curious, i've lived in the philippines before so i dream that someday i can have a lighter complexion than i currently have at the moment.

and i ordered the soap and cream on sunday, i live in california when do you think i will get it?

i added a photo so you will be able to see my legs (and scars and discoloration of my legs) -_-

im really exited on using ur whitening products. and i THANK GOD that i found your site :)

Godbless and salamat poh!

Answer:

Ate Maria is fine, Victoria, because I'm sure I'm older than you. :)

The 'ashy' look before peeling is normal and would somehow make skin appear darker. This will fade away after peeling and will reveal a more lighter skin layer in the process.

During summer, protect sun exposed skin with the highest SPF sunscreen you can get (SPF70 or higher is good because Asian skin tends to get darker easily). If prolonged exposure cannot be helped, make sure you re-apply sunscreen every 2 hours.

Use the Black Soap as your normal daily bath soap. The only difference is leaving it on skin for 5-10 minutes before washing off to let the active whiteing ingredients work on your skin better. Then, dab dry with a towel but leave skin a bit damp before applying the whitening cream. Massage cream until dry. Do not wash off until the next bath or facial/body wash.

Results will depend on your skin sensitivity. This can be a week or 2 or 3. Filipino skin usually react positively within the first week.

Yes, you can use the Black Soap and whitening cream on other dark spots on your body, including dark scars.

You will receive your order this coming Thursday, Feb. 19. :)

Take care,
Ate Maria

uhhh...ate maria will my face have white blotches and uneven skin tone..while in the process of the peeling? and wouldnt my eyes have a different darker skin tone cuz i didnt use the soap or the cream on my eyes?

Answer:

Hi Victoria, blotches are not really uncommon during skin peeling. The best way to avoid them is to apply the whitening cream or lotion on damp skin to provide a smooth and even application on skin.

The eye area is the thinnest part of our skin, therefore not recommended to be treated directly with skin lighteners. Anyway, some whitening cream applied on the outer eye area can spread to the inner eye area after application and should take care of this.

Hi again ate maria the side of my nose started to peel but kinda turned reddish brown,,,is that normal 2? And when my face starts to peel won't my eye color be out of tone cuz I didn't use the soap or cream on my eye.,,, my chin and the side of my nose is starting to peel but not my cheeks or my forehead.. Does it take a longer amount of time? Thanx for taking time to help me achieve my goal :) salamat Poh and godbless

Answer:

Yes, that's normal too, Victoria. Redness, stinging, burning, peeling, dryness, are all normal side effects. The T-zone usually peels faster because this is thinner-skinned. The rest of the face will follow. Remember to reduce the usage on the T-zone so it won't overpeel.

Hi ate maria my face is startin to peel but only like the size of dust? Is that what it's suppose to look like ?

Answer:

Good girl, now I can follow your progress here. :)

Peeling depends on your skin sensitivity. It is not as drastic as a chemical peel but something like shedding of dead skin cells gradually. So everything you're experiencing is normal.

have discoloration on knees...
by: Victoria

hey Happy monday ate maria!.

how was ur monday?...

lol its been 3 days now and i've been using the black soap and whitening cream 2x a day.

i havent really seen any results, but its a little too early to determine if its working.

i just wanted to know, when the skin starts peeling does a big patch of skin come off or is it like the size of dust? cuz earlier i was scratching a small part of my knee and dust like "skin" started coming off, i saw that it became a "little lighter" (the part i scratched),

so i wanted to know when my skin is ready to peel, is it several patches? or dust looking dead skin?

thank you for taking time to answer my questions :)
i really apreciate it :)

salamat poe and godbless ate maria

Answer:

Hi Victoria, peeling will be shedding of skin in small or larger patches of skin. Important thing is to avoid scratching because this can cause blotches or uneven peeling.

After peeling, you should notice resurfacing of lighter, fresher and softer skin layers of skin.

You have a wonderful week too. :)

have discoloration..
by: Victoria

Hey ate maria!

i got my whitening set lastnight and i started using it this morning, and i hope it works im soo exited!

thanks for making such a wonderful product ! im pretty sure this is going to work for me!

i have 1 or 2 questions tho :)

i wear baby powder and fix and perfect primer to keep my face from being oily and i also wear eye liner, when i start using the whitening cream can i still use it? or do i have to stop until it peels?

and do i have to put sunscreen on my knees as well?

salamat poh and godbless ate maria!

-victoria :)

Answer:

Hi Victoria, glad to hear you got the products. To answer your questions -

The skin whiteners can reduce the oiliness in your skin, and you'll see the effects while you're using them and determine if you'll still need some oil control.

You can use the eyeliner because you cannot use the whitening soap or cream near the eyes anyway, because these are thin and sensitive areas.

No need for sunscreen on knees. :)

follow up: have discoloration... (2)
by: Victoria

hi ate maria.

what do u mean by loose? cause mostly all my pants are skinny jeans. :) can you please please please give me some tips? i really want the scars and uneven tone of my knees to go away :(

do you think i can put some sort of "cloth bandage" around my knees when its peeling so my knees arent in contact with my pants? or maybe thats not gonna work either? :(

please help ate maria :)

salamat poh and godbless!

-victoria

Answer:

Hi Victoria, "loose" means not-so-tight clothing/pants. If you can't help it, go ahead and put on a protective cloth on knees, but this will not totally avoid friction because your knees would still be pressed against your jeans.

This will only be temporary, so your knees may need a little TLC to get rid of the pigmentation. :)

Hi ate maria!,

:) its me again victoria lol sorry im "makulet".

i like wearing skinny jeans and their "tight" on my legs. and i was just curious when my knees start peeling wont my knees become darker because of the friction on my pants?

will my knees just darken even if its peeling because it keeps rubbing on my pants caused by friction? uhm i dont really know how to explain that good so i hope you know what i mean (hehe)

salamat poh! and godbless!
- victoria :)

Answer:

I know what you meant, Victoria. And you are right. Friction, especially when skin is peeling can cause skin darkening. This is because freshly exfoliated skin is sensitive. So just try to wear loose clothing while you're in the skin lightening regimen. :)
