Glutathione Soap Questions

by Jay
(USA)

Hello Maria! Its Jay once more. As you know i've been using the Dermaline cream and Glutathione soap since January of this year and i've had a great start. After i used the skin whitening products for the first 3 weeks, my skin started to peel on my face, stomach, neck, inner arms, under arms and on the back of my legs.

I am a Dark skinned African American, so the areas that peeled are now a good shade of medium brown. Kinda the skin tone i'm going for. I ran out of soap and used the cream only from April through early August, then i purchased 4 more soaps and been using them for about 4 weeks.

So my questions are:

1. How long do you think it will take for the rest of the body to peel?

2. Sometimes my skin burns on certain parts of my body, then it stops burning when i reuse the soap day by day. Does this mean my skin is use to the product and i should rest my skin for a few days and start back up again?

3. My skin is very dark. Is this one of the reasons why its taking very long to lighten certain areas?

4. As far as rubbing the soap on the face and body, should i keep rubbing it it until it vanishes, then wash it off or just rub it on and let it sit on the skin without rubbing it in?

Thanks for you time!

Answer:

Hi Jay, glad to hear back from you. Let me help you with your questions as usual -

1. If the thinner-skinned areas peeled earlier (which is common), the rest of the skin usually follows after a few days, a week or two, depending on your skin sensitivity.

2. Right, the skin kinda gets 'used to' a skin product if used for a long period of time. In skin lightening, after peeling has faded, it usually exhibits the lightest skin tone you'll be expecting, so from this point, REDUCE use or application of the skin whitener/s to avoid over-peeling.

3. Yes, the darker the skin tone, the longer the skin lightening process can be, but NOT in all cases. If you want the products to respond anew to the skin whiteners, rest your skin for 2-3 weeks then resume once a day regimen again.

4. Very gently rub the soap lather on skin, then leave it on. From time to time, you can further rub it on skin while it's wet, because it's gonna dry out while you wait for the few minutes to conclude, so it's ok.

Take care,
Maria
