Glutathione and l-glutathione are they the same?

by Riz
(US)

I'm taking glutathione for skin whitening because in vit. world they only sell 250mg and I want 500mg. Glutathione has 500mg and the amount per serving is l-glutathione 500mg if you take it. My question is do they have the same effects for skin whitening? (L-glutathione and the glutathione).
thanks.

Answer:

Hi Riz, no they're not. L-Glutathione is the 'reduced' form of Glutathione, and is the suggested supplement to function as an antioxidant or skin whitener.

Within this site though, when we mention 'Glutathione', it is meant to be the reduced form or L-Glutathione. :-)
