General Questions About Overall Skin Lightening.

by Monique
(WA, USA)

Maria, i am approximately the color of the model/actress K.D Aubert. in some places i am lighter & other places i am darker. basically, i want to lighten my entire body to match the colour of the lighter places on my body such as my underarms, my ankles, my wrists which are all very light compared to the rest of me. how do you suggest i do this? along with your suggestion, i'd like to ask a few questions.

- i fear that white patches will show up on my body if i use the lotions & soaps! does this product, for those of colour, lighten to a lighter shade of brown or to white? because i just want to be about 3 shades lighter over all, if that. maybe just 2. i don't want to be fair skinned, i just want to be a lighter brown.

- if i used the overall lightening kit, would the soaps & lotions lighten parts of me that are already light? if so, do you suggest i "spot lighten" ?

- i plan on using the glutathione as a lightening agent for 2-3 months. however, since it keeps the pores small & has other benefits, i'd like to keep using it. if i use just 1 per day, would it still lighten me after i reach my desired tone? or does it keep my pores small & fine after i use it?

- for my lips, after just using a lemon for 1 day, i notice my top lip getting lighter. does it lighten my lip to a lighter brown or pink? when i stretch out my lips, i see peach/pink lines surrounded by the brown. after they are lightened, do i still rub the lemon on them daily? how long do you suggest i rub the lemon on my lips? for the last 2 days, i've rubbed for 5 minutes or so.

- after i reach my desired tone, how often do i have to use the products to maintain the shade?

Answer:

Hi Monique, let me address your concerns as you marked them:

- White patches during skin lightening occur because of uneven product application. That's why I always suggest to apply the whitening cream or lotion on damp skin (best after shower) for a smoother and even distribution. Your skin will slowly (not drastically) get to its lightest shade that it will allow. You are in control when using the products. Once you reach your desired results, you can just do maintenance to keep the results lasting. The darkest skin tone can't turn to white unless there is a case of vitiligo treated by monobenzone.

- You can avoid lightening the areas that are already fairer, but don't worry about applying some lotion or cream if you can't help it. I believe that the lighter parts of your body is the lightest shade of your skin tone so it wouldn't have much effect.

- Once a day glutathione is for maintenance. It won't further lighten your skin, but keep the benefits that you'll see on skin and body.

- Based on your description when you stretch your lips, it may lighten to a light brownish pink tone, or to a shade nearest to its original color before it darkened or when you were younger. It can stay that way if you avoid the factors that caused it to darken. Keep it moisturized always. Dryness also causes dark patches. No need to use lemon further because it is too acidic, but it would always be handy if you need it.

- During the maintenance stage, you can continue using the soaps 3-4x per week, the lotion/cream 1-2x per week, and the pills 1x a day. But the sunscreen is a daily 'must' wear.

Most of our loyal customers use both the topical products (whitening soap/lotion/cream) for faster results because these are applied topically while waiting for the effects of the whitening pills to kick in.

You can do either one, or both.

Maria
