Daughter and mom dark skin problems
Hello Maria, I have a 17-year-old daughter, unfortunately she got my acne-prone combination sensitive to oily skin. I really want to boost her self-esteem (and myself). I know how it feels being young with acne face. Your site looks authentic and you seem sincere and honest.
Please help me and my daughter with our skin battle for years. I am 40 years old and I still get acne. We both have medium to dark brown skin, I have dark spots like underarms, groins, knees. I cant wear bikinis because of stretch marks and dark skin on hidden areas. I just ordered your glutathione pills.
You mentioned: women in their 40s should use 45spf and above sunscreen. How come u dont sell sunscreen creams? What do you recommend?
Can my daughter also take this skin whitening pills, soaps and creams? I will order asap for her to use if its appropriate for her age. Thanks so much.

Hello Desperate Mom, I also have a teenaged daughter and I'd feel the same as you do. :)
Let me start with your case.
Since you purchased the skin whitening pills, yes, these are powerful antioxidants (skin lightening is just the side effect) that can detoxify the body of its toxins, and can help control acne if it works well with your functional system. It will take time to see an improvement -
* Light-medium brown skin: 2-4 months
* Dark brown skin: 4-8 months
* Very dark skin: 8-12 months
* Black skin: 18 months minimum and above
But remember, the pills won't target the body's darkest spots first - it will be an even, slow and gradual distribution of the lightening effect. Eventually, it can lighten those dark spots too.
It is the topical skin whitening creams, soaps and lotions that can exhibit faster results because these are applied directly on skin - between 1-4 weeks.
One point however, is that a skin whitener is not a solution to acne, but to dark acne scars. If you have mild acne and some dark spots, then that's fine to use the topical products.
If you wish to see an earlier improvement, you can try the Black Soap and Papaya Soap - the black soap for the face and neck, and the papaya soap for the body. The use of the lightening lotion and cream is optional. You may try them too.
A good side effect of using the topical skin whitening products is controlling acne as well. The peeling process, which is part of the skin lightening regimen, also exfoliates dead skin cells, excess dirt and oils. Thus, can clear up skin.
Stretch marks are difficult to lighten, though the skin whiteners can help lighten or improve them at least.
For your daughter, I don't suggest she take the skin whitening pills because of the high dosage of the supplement, plus she'd have to take additional 2000mg of Vitamin C per day. Although all these are water soluble, her system is just too young to take them.
What you can do is let her take at least 500mg of Vitamin C per day which can help in skin clarity and detoxification too.
She can also use the black soap, which is a mild skin lightening soap for her face.
Sunscreen will be part of both your regimen.
The reason why we don't carry sunscreens is because these are readily available over-the-counter. Neutrogena, Aveeno, etc. are good brands you can trust. :)
