dark velvety patches on upper thighs buttock and behind the knee

by tammy
(oregon)

Well for a while now I've noticed that on my upper thigh there's been these dark patches on my way upper thighs. Its only really noticeable when I wear a swim suit. I'm half african american. So my dads black and moms white so I used to think it was normal. But now I understand its not. The patches are also on my buttocks and the back of my knee? I really would like to know what this is and what I can do to reverse it. Thanks so much!(:

Answer:

Hi Tammy, if the skin is not sun-exposed, friction may be the culprit in most skin discolorations. You may realize that one of your regular activities can contribute to the darkening of skin behind your thighs and butt - probably prolonged sitting, horseback or bicycle riding, other sports or just plainly sensitive skin to tight clothing.

As a suggested solution, I would suggest a combination of Diana Stalder DS or Dermaline DE Black Soap and Whitening Lotion that you can find in our skin whitening store. Use once daily until you get the desired results. Maintenance is 1-2x a week. :)
