Dark skin around groin area specially on my tights

Hi, this is a little embarrasing for me. Its been around a year now at first a thought it was cause of the heat and the friction but i've noticed its expanding little by litle around. Im visiting my doctor soon, but since i feel embarrased cause of this im trying to find a remedy before that.

Im puertorrican, my skin color is right in the middle nor dark nor white, I have tried a few different skin whitening creams but i really want to get rid of that dark skin. Thanks.
