Dark patches on my legs

Hello, I have been searching for something to clear up these dark patches on my legs for years. Three years ago I got a skin infection that left these dark patches on my skin and have never faded away. I have attached a photo.

Overall my body is even except my legs. Please give me any suggestions on what to do. I have not worn shorts or skirts in three years. Could I apply something to the dark patches?

I have got the same marks that you have shown in the photo its like seeing my own leg.The best thing to do is keep applying lime and curd it makes these marks fade away.

Hi, I've noticed patches on my leg identical to the ones in the photo. I'm not sure how I got them, but they're only on the lower part of my left leg. I was wondering if you've tried the suggested treatment and know how effective it is.
