Dark Knee

by Amani
(Dubai)

I have a very dry and dark knee skin. I got a whitening cream from the pharmacy (Glytone) and I've using it now for 10 days. I observed that the old skin got exfoliated and my knee looks red now. I also cannot use the cream in the red skin because it gets irritated and hurts. Is my skin going to become normal again and gets normal skin color? Do I have to continue using the whitening cream in this case or shall I stop for sometime? Can I use a moistarizing cream in this case?

Answer:

Hi Amani, peeling is normal, and so is redness and stinging. Yes you can moisturize to alleviate dryness. Continue to use the whitening cream but only within your comfort level. Sooner or later, you'll notice lighter skin resurfacing when the redness or stinging fade away.
