dark butt

by christy
(india)

during my pregnancy period my butt & related areas became dark and there are dark spots also. what should i do for removing the dark color. and what should i do for removing stretch marks also.

Answer:

Hi Christy, hyperpigmentation during pregnancy is totally normal. After you give birth, some dark spots fade away, but some do stay - like dark inner thighs, butt, underarms, neck, etc. You can wait a few months to see what actual dark spots on skin you need to address only.

What I can suggest for you is a combination of a mild skin lightening soap and lightening lotion such as Dermaline DE Black Soap and Body Whitening Lotion. or try any skin whitener locally available in your area for convenience. Use once daily at bedtime.

For stretch marks, we do have a special page on how to remove stretch marks. For some skin types, the same skin whitening products suggested above can also fade stretch marks.

Good luck!

Maria
